“We’re excited to announce Present, In This Way, a new book highlighting the recent work of Minette Hand.

The Miller Gallery will be hosting a book release as well as a solo show mini-exhibit of large prints from her recent travels.

In her new book, Present, In This Way, Minette takes the reader along her journey over the grasslands of Wyoming, into windswept valleys of Yellowstone, and through the rising peaks of Beartooth Highway. Meet
the wonderful people of Montana, wake up under Devil’s Tower, and get lost in the Badlands.

Minette was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. She attended Baylor University where she received a B.A. in Studio Art with an emphasis in Photography. She has lived in Charleston for the past ten years. She has
since traveled to Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, Italy, and across the United States.

Minette is currently a freelance photographer based in Charleston, South Carolina. She is a seasonal instructor at the Redux Contemporary Art Center and has assisted in teaching an Advanced Photography
Workshop at a local high school. She has photographed for both Charleston TEDx and Charleston Wine + Food Festival. Her previous exhibit, 10,000 Southern Miles, was held in Charleston in 2016.

You can find Minette’s work in numerous publications including Garden & Gun, Luxe Interiors + Design, Trouvé Magazine, and many more.”
