A new trade association has announced a series of public meetings to discuss the tour guide industry. The group – called Guides of the Gorget, says they will support and promote all lines of business associated with the professional tour guide industry.

The new organization is seeking comment, feedback, suggestions, and ideas about how best to serve the local tour guide industry and the tourism industry. Everyone that is interested in membership is encouraged to meet with them or to visit Brian McFarland, the owner of Charleston Cavalier Tours, is the founder of the trade association.

“Please come and share your opinions with us and help us define the Guides of the Gorget mission statement and core values,” McFarland said.
