“Join us in Hampton Park near the gazebo on Saturday, April 20 from 11 AM to 1 PM for the biggest Easter egg hunt in downtown Charleston! In addition to the egg hunt, there will face painting, balloon artists, crafts, a climbing wall, inflatable games, pictures with the Easter bunny, and more! Ages 12 and under are welcome to this FREE event.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Please enter Hampton Park at the Cleveland Street entrance near McMahon Playground. You will then be directed where to park.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, you do not need to bring your printed ticket or a mobile copy of your ticket to the event. Registration is not required, but highly encouraged. We are promoting pre-registration to get a better estimate of attendance, supplies needed for activities, and feedback after the event.

Where will parking be for this event?

Parking will be around the park in the bike lane and will be directed by a Recreation staff person. Additional parking will be available at the College Park lot (near the Hampton Park dog park across the street from Park Cafe) and on the streets around Hampton Park. Please arrive early to ensure your parking spot. Don’t forget to buffer in time to park and then walk to the event area.

Will food be available at the event?

There will be no food vendors at this event, but feel free to bring a blanket and enjoy a picnic lunch in our beautiful park. There will be water available behind the gazebo.

What if I miss the first egg hunt scheduled at 11:15am?

There will be an additional egg hunt around 12:15pm only for the children that arrived late and missed the first egg hunt. PLEASE do not participate in the second egg hunt if you already participated in the first one.

Where are the restrooms located in Hampton Park?

The nearest restrooms will be at McMahon Playground right across the street from the gazebo.

Will I be able to take pictures with the Easter Bunny?

Yes, there will be pictures with the Easter Bunny at the gazebo. Due to the long lines and expected attendance, we ask that you have your camera/phone ready when it’s your turn and take up to 2 pictures. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
