College of Charleston has refurbished residence halls and dining areas to renovated classrooms. It also has a newly built educational centers and an impressive, 15,000-square-foot fitness facility. The College has invested millions of dollars to provide students with the best and most effective learning and recreational opportunities.
Our newest facility is the completely renovated Rita Liddy Hollings Science Center, home to the departments of physics, astronomy, biology and psychology. This impressive, four-story building features flexible lecture and event spaces on the first floor. It also has state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories, faculty offices and meeting spaces. On the roof is a modern observatory and star-gazing stations along with a rooftop water collection system to help irrigate areas of the campus.
